Andrew Ryan brings a private investigator into Rapture. Detective Renaud is tasked with gaining intelligence on Fontaine Futuristics, whom Ryan believes may be attempting to undermine Rapture.
Following a tip from a disillusioned Fontaine Futuristics employee, Detective Renaud agrees to meet at the Wheelhouse Lounge to aquire a critical document. Their entire exchange was intercepted.
She is kidnapped in plain sight, sending a clear message: Don't mess with Fontaine.
Detective Renaud trails two Fontaine Futuristics employees after witnessing them passing information. The encounter turns violent, and she is forced to kill both of them. The incident is witnessed on camera.
